Let me give you guys a run-down of what's going on right now:

As of right now we're still in the midst of judging your entries. I still need a few more critiques on everyone, and then I can plug them into the Elimination Post and get it up to you guys. Final Three! It's down to the wire. Anyway, that's where we stand as of right now. I'm so sorry for the delays, but sometimes there's just nothing I can do about them. However, I've been trying to get this thing kickstarted back up the way it was Cycle 1, but believe me, it's not as easy as it looks!

Now for another point. Cycle 3 is coming up (yes, we are returning for another cycle! Don't count us out just yet!) and we're looking to you guys for some help! We're creative geniuses, of course, but we want to know what you guys, the public think!

So for starters, why don't you guys start pitching us some themes for:
-The Cycle. (Like of like last cycle's "Who is the Diamond in the Rough?"/Bellydancers/Bangalore/Middle East-Ease Asia theme and this cycle's "Who will blossom into Candybar's Next Top Model?"/flowers/Brazil/floral theme.) You will need to pitch me both a slogan general theme behind it. (Like the 'blossom' and 'flowers' thing. Get it?)
-Photoshoots. (Ideas for upcoming photoshoots.)

Out of the suggestions for the photoshoots, one of them will be chosen as an official photoshoot for the next cycle. As for the themes, all of the suggestions will be added to the list of ideas the judges already have in mind. If yours is chosen, you'll get to see your theme come to life in the layout, the slogan, the second photoshoot (we're moving it to AFTER the makeovers this cycle!) and of course the overseas destination.

Start sending in your material! Who knows, maybe you'll win?

Ahh, this is a very good idea! :O I've never competed in Candybar Model, only Fleur De Lys, but I'm definitely going to be up for Cycle 3! So, uh, I guess I'll throw in a few random thoughts XD

For a photoshoot, representing video game characters could be fun. Sort of, uh, glamming them up. Wouldn't it be cool to see a model's take on Mario, Pikachu or something? The shoot would inspire research and, in my opinion, be fairly fun. XD

Also, maaaybe, an, uh, interests shoot. Have the models dress up as their favorite actor/real life model/book/band/movie (the one listed in the entry-form).

Lastly, I'm really fond of a 'natural' shoot. A serene setting, graceful clothing, no makeup and the model's natural hair color. Only because I think it'd be interesting to see certain contestants, ones who wear loads of makeup and razzle-dazzle, stripped down to nothing but their own natural beauty. Could be spectacular. :D

I actually can't think of many cycle themes. Off the very top of my head, 'Who will shoot to stardom?', a celestial, elegant cycle. Send the models to, uh, the moon. >_> But yeah, I dunno'. That was really random. XD

I love the video game character idea!!!
And I'm totally with you on the celestial thing. :) Outerspace, outta this world, planets, zodiac, astrology, all of that stuff I think would work excellent for Cycle 3. I hope the other judges agree :P

Look forward to your application (once we get the application stuff up, that is!)

OH. OH. I just got another cool idea. :B

A past models shoot. Kinda' like this cycle's Judges Shoot, but using a range of models from past versions. It'd inspire research and also be adorable and nostalgic. Just think! Bethany, Megan, Eve, Josie, Max-B, Cati, CJ...the possibilities are wicked cool and endless.

Anyway XD I promise I wont post again! The idea just popped into my head and I got all giddy.

I think a photoshoot where the model could only wear one color would be fun and challenging, because normally people wear different colors that accent one and other. It is harder to make an outfit unique and exiting when only wearing one color. To make it even harder you could assign the colors to each model, give them limited options, or have the winner of the prior challenge choose one color they would all dress in. Well, that's every thing I can think of right now. If you like it that's great, if not I'm fine with that too.

For a photoshoot, how about high-fashion soldiers or rebels, a pseudo-political photoshoot!
